Life is Either a Daring Adventure or Nothing

Life is full of ups and downs. When we experience the negative, we find it difficult to focus on the good. That is natural. However, we have to realize that the downs are part of the journey. Rather than dwelling on the negative, focus on going with the flow while being mindful of both the negative and positive. Be mindful of the negative by focusing on solutions, or by not focusing too much on the bad. Try your best to be balanced. At the same time, don’t settle for less and enjoy life as much as you possibly can.

It can seem like a conundrum between balancing life and enjoying a grand adventure of life. But, it’s possible to live both ways. It’s possible to know of the risks certain actions may yield. So with every major decision, take some caution and gradually unfold the experience rather than rushing through it. Be mindful of any possible negative setbacks while also being open to the unfamiliar.

Most people choose to settle for their life, graduating with thousands of dollars in school loans and sticking to a 9-5 job. It may yield a comfortable lifestyle. However, it can get boring and repetitive fast if you stick to this path of mediocrity.

There are the few who decide to go through a different path. Some have made entire livings through traveling and embarking on new adventures. Few people try the digital nomad lifestyle. Once you can get past the finances and find an active solution for it through your lifestyle (e.g. workshops, online courses, sponsorships, etc.), you can enjoy an abundant lifestyle.

Let’s say you’re happy with your 9-5. Great! Not everyone is happy with their 9-5, but if you are, you are in luck. Now all you have to do is add to the fun, engaging in interesting hobbies or enjoying your free time off. You don’t have to feel tired or drained. Enjoy your life.

Life Goes On

Whether we like it or not, life goes on. Time continues to pass no matter what we’re doing. Well, time is also an illusion, something that is merely measured by the movement of the Earth’s revolution on its axis and around the sun. But as each present moment passes by, we can see that life still continues on. Even while we are just taking a few seconds to breathe, someone else is maybe in a rush to go to the hospital, or to work, or to a lunch date. So whether we want to live the same routine life or not, time still passes either way. Why not make the most of what you have?

For me, life is a miracle. Think about all the planets and stars in the galaxies. There is so much mystery and wonder for all that exists. We only barely get to scratch the surface of those mysteries through our own limited senses. In church, we’re taught that God created the earth and the seas. But what about planets like Jupiter or Neptune? Don’t you ever wonder if and how God or some other greater being created those planets? How amazing is it that Earth exists? (;

With the time that you have, you should cherish it and learn how to make the most out of it. If you want to go for a scuba diving adventure, book it online. Catch the waves of the ocean. Sink in the sand. Go for a refreshing run, enjoying the sunlight and the beautiful view of the neighborhood or park. Go biking. Meet new faces. Try dining at a new restaurant. Go wherever your heart desires to collect good experiences rather than just sitting around doing nothing. If you’re strapped for cash, create a business around something you enjoy doing. Make money through your lifestyle. Whatever you do, make the most out of the life you were given. <3

Every Child is an Artist

This is a wise quote from the artist Pablo Picasso. I agree with it because as children, we are quite imaginative and adventurous. We are naturally excited about life and draw into our inner creativity in order to live our lives.

However, as we grow older, we fall into the pit of what most of society believes. They say to settle down, pursue “real subjects” with “job potential” such as math or science, and to send out resumes to complete strangers so that they might hire you for a salary that they decide for you. Settling for mediocrity, these people lead unfulfilling lives and have lost their innate ability to create. They forget that they were creators at birth, learning their new environment and creating their own reality, only to align to what society believes to be “normal”.

Are you in the top 1% of people who realize that life can not only be fun and adventurous, but fulfilling in many aspects (yes, even financially)? If so, you have a can-do attitude that has no limits. You realize that you can have it both ways and that you don’t have to settle or compromise for less. You know that you can reach your highest potential just by being yourself. And, you realize that all people have the ability to be creative, but few seldom take that route, for fear of the unknown.

For many years, I’ve been wanting to write a book. But, I just couldn’t get into the zone of actually sitting down and writing one. Then towards the end of 2016, I finally sat down and worked on my first book. It was largely written using uncopyrighted works (Steve Pavlina!), but hey, I published it and it garnered a few sales. I was used to blogging for some time, but did not have a solid idea for what kind of book I wanted to write. But eventually a week or so ago, I wrote two short books. And now, I’m thinking of writing a longer book, hoping that maybe it will become a bestseller or a popular book of its kind. With Amazon, it’s easier than ever to write an eBook and get it published. That is just one avenue in which you can explore your creativity while contributing positively to society.

There are many other ways to express creativity. You could make it social by sharing with others, such as sharing your own artwork or music. Or, you can just pick it up as a hobby (poetry, dancing, meditation, and more). Just because you’re an adult, doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy life. Just because some people decided to live in misery, doesn’t mean that you have to walk down that path too. Explore your interests and your hobbies. And if you’re lucky (a.k.a. persistent with the path you are going), you can find a way to make money from it if that is what you desire. Or, you may create a lifestyle around your works (such as young people do after years of dancing, when they decide to become teachers). If a 10-year-old can learn how to create money through producing an app on a smartphone, I’m sure an adult with such drive could learn how to do the same.

The same goes for blogging. I’ve been blogging for years, but only recently decided to pursue passive income through blogging more seriously. I used to blog on Xanga when I was in middle school. Flash forward to more than a decade later, I’ve decided to continue blogging, but to focus on creating content that motivates and inspires positivity in others. Not only do I get to share with others, but I enjoy the process, meanwhile making some money through Google AdSense and Amazon affiliate links (for products that I think the reader may enjoy).

I think what happens as we grow older is that we ignore that inner child of ours. We forget that life is meant to be enjoyed. You only live once, right? And even if you believe in reincarnation, you still have one life at the moment to live. So why not express yourself creatively? Why not be the artist? Why not create the life that you enjoy? There is more to life than just a steady paycheck. Express yourself, and enjoy it. (;

Work on You First

Often times, we focus on what’s going on externally from us. We perceive certain events to be for us or against us. We forget to take a look inwardly to see if there is something else going us, causing us to experience what we perceive to be negative.

Rather than working externally to change events, it is best to focus inwardly. Focus on yourself. Learn how to change and master your reality by focusing on your strengths and improving upon your weaknesses.

Nowadays with the cold weather, I can feel tired at times. I go to the gym as a way to stay active and to not slide down into laziness or procrastination. And, I make sure that I am drinking enough fluids, especially something that has electrolytes such as coconut water.

When you work on yourself first, you are able to function at an optimal level. You are able to take on more tasks and are able to transform your life into something you’ve always envisioned. It just takes some practice.

What is one thing you could do starting from today that will benefit you in the long run? You can start simply by engaging in small habits, and then build upon those habits over time. For example, your morning routine can consist of eating breakfast, brushing your teeth, and changing into your daytime clothes. Rather than hitting the snooze button every morning, get up and enjoy some nice sunshine and maybe a sip of tea.

Working on yourself can be challenging or fun, depending on how you approach it. It can be rewarding to work on yourself. You can do anything that you put your mind to. It sometimes requires self-discipline, but with practice, you can transform your life into something amazing. You want to be able to look at the mirror and happily say, “That’s me!”

Chase After Your Dreams

Life is a precious miracle. We never know what tomorrow may hold. All we can do is just try our best to live a fulfilling life.

Often times, people settle for mediocrity. This is due to how they were raised. We all grow up with various beliefs formed from our childhood. When those beliefs go left unexamined, we settle for less and forget to chase after our true dreams.

I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t have to be that way. If you want to become a singer, take singing lessons, go out there and perform, and share some of your music. If you want to be an athlete, join a local sports club. If you want to be a rocket scientist, study physics or learn more about astronomy. Why settle for less?

I think the reason that people settle for less is because of what they were taught when they were younger. It doesn’t help that the educational system emphasizes jobs more than creating businesses or performing freelance work.

The majority of people don’t know how to make money and how to live a fulfilling life that surrounds your career: a job. But a stable job is not the only way to be successful. If you want to live abundantly, you should seek opportunities in every moment.

Due to our childhood beliefs, we often forget to pursue our real dreams. It doesn’t help when you’re surrounded by people who tell you to settle for less. You have to be proactive and find those people who are pursuing their goals and dreams. That is where you can start.

Here are a few dreams that I’d love to fulfill:

– Create a music album
– Publish eBooks
– Relearn the piano
– Become a dancer
– Travel to Neptune (;

I’m kidding about the last one, but how cool would it be if we created the type of technology that would allow us to space travel to other planets? 😀

Remember that money is not a necessity, and that it’s more important to enjoy your life. It’s more important to choose a job that you’d love to work for. It’s more important to be happy.

And for all my fellow passive income pursuers, it’s possible to find avenues of passive income that you enjoy dabbling in. It doesn’t have to be all work. It can be full of fun and play.

How to Be Ready for Any Opportunity

In order to be ready for opportunities, we must first prepare ourselves. How do we do that? First, you must examine your life and see what it is that you enjoy:

  1. What are your talents?
  2. What are your hobbies?
  3. What are your skills?
  4. What do you want to try learning?

Once you prepare yourself mentally, physically, and emotionally, only then will you be able to hold onto opportunities. Don’t despair if you feel like you’ve missed out on opportunities. As they say, for every door that closes, there is another one that opens.

There may be times you fail, but if you stay strong and work your way up, you can seize any opportunity you desire. Plus, what is success without a journey of failures? We all fail at some point or another. Try not to wallow in fear, but gradually work your way up again. Eventually, with the power of perseverance, you can burst your way through any open door.

In case you do not feel ready for that dream job you’ve always desired or that business you’ve always wanted to start, you can examine your life and determine what it is that will allow you to lead a more fulfilling life:

  1. What are your weaknesses?
  2. What are your strengths?
  3. What areas would you like to improve upon?
  4. Where do you have to search for those opportunities that fit you best?

Some people say that opportunities come to them by luck. I argue that it is not by luck, but by actively bettering yourself. When you better yourself, you are able to seize any opportunity that comes your way.

Why Experience is the Best Teacher

Experience is the best teacher because books can only teach us so much. Life is all about taking action and chasing after whatever it is that you want or like to enjoy. If you sit around doing nothing all day, you won’t get much accomplished.

Books can be served as guides. Books can steer you off in different directions and spark your curiosity. Though, I do not recommend digging your nose into books all day. I recommend just going out there, reading a little to gain some knowledge and guidance, and then taking action.

Books can also serve as a shortcut to life’s obstacles. For example, if you lost your job and you’re having a hard time finding a new job, you may want to read a business-related book, or one of my personal favorites, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.

Sometimes, we are afraid of experiencing new ideas because we like to feel safe and secure. However, you might want to try something new from the normal. Try a new cooking recipe. Or, do something fun and adventurous like skydiving! (;

If you have trouble experiencing new ideas, try dabbling into it a little at a time. Build up good habits and routines. Practice self-care. Then, go out there and conquer the world! 😀

What Karma Teaches Us About People

Karma is a confusing subject for many people. I believe in karma, because whatever you give does eventually come back. Good things happen all the time to both “good” people and “bad” people. But what makes a person “bad” or “good”?

I believe that karma works with law of attraction. Good karma always get rewarded. However, you may have to face some difficult obstacles in order to receive rewards. It’s not necessarily bad karma. It just depends on whether you faced it or not.

The same goes for people. We label people as being different categories: black, white, hispanic, Puerto Rican, Latino, Indian, poor, rich, bad, good, wealthy, and so forth. But we have to learn how to get along with each other, because what comes around goes and around. And the quicker you catch onto those lessons, the faster you become rewarded.

It also depends on the person. Some people are only able to tolerate a little bit of hard work and dedication, while others learn how to excel and move as fast as lightning or thunder.

Nowadays, I consider myself an A player at resolving my own karma. I learned how to get along better with my family and how to trust my instincts more. A players are able to balance their lives very carefully as to not work with the wrong kinds of people. A players are always on a mission to better their lives in the right kinds of ways. The interesting thing about this is that anyone can call themselves an A player, so long as they have that kind of confidence in themselves.

What karma can teach us about people is that we have to be careful about the types of people we surround ourselves with. And, we must learn how to keep our minds at a calm and relaxed state at all times. We have to learn how to be balanced. There are some things in this world that are dangerous, and some things that are not. But we do not need to give into the fear. We can learn how to resonate at a higher frequency by believing in ourselves first. Take the lessons one by one and learn how to resolve them on your own.

The People You Surround Yourself With

I think that it is important to surround yourself with people who are at a higher level consciousness. What that means is that they are actively looking to take care of themselves while at the same time contributing to society.

The truth is that no one is perfect, but you can learn how to accept others for their flaws. At the same time, you want to make sure you don’t get consumed by negativity. You need to have balance, and the way to do that is to be smart about when you use negativity and when you use positivity. Too much optimism can lead to fatal consequences at times, and too much negativity can do the same thing.

Everyone has their own language of who they want to surround themselves with. For me, I like to surround myself with ambitious yet fun people. Truthfully, I find that there are few ambitious and fun people. But when you find these people, you know that you’ve created something special.

I like to surround myself with people who excel in all areas of their life, from health to appearance to career to finances. It is a tough road to follow, but if you follow your intuition, you can achieve anything that you put your efforts towards. It can be a little difficult to find these people, but if you just live your life, improve your relationships, and actively search for these people, you will find them.

Love for Yourself

The best place to start loving is to start with yourself. There are different ways to express your love: cuddling, kissing, hugging, giving a gift, and cooking for a loved one. But what does it mean to love yourself? And more importantly, why is it important to love yourself?

Love for yourself means taking time to know yourself, accept it, and embrace it. Self-love can come in different forms as well. Below are a list of ideas to get you started on your self-love journey.

Bath with candles

You can take a warm bath with scented candles. You can even use lush soaps or bath bombs and take a bubble bath. It’s a good way to relax in the evening. Depending on how your bath is set up, you can read a book or watch TV while soaking in hot water.

Blogging or journaling

Journaling is a form of creative self-expression. It’s good to get your thoughts out in writing. It’s meditative and can lead to self-reflection. You can blog, write your thoughts using different software, or write your thoughts in a paperback journal. Some people like to use fancy paperback journals to store all of their memories to refer back to at a later date.

Cooking for yourself

Try a new recipe. Or if you’re a complete beginner, take a cooking class. It’s good self-care to know how to cook. After all, food is one of our needs. And taking care of your body is a form of self-love.

There are many websites that you can learn easy to hard recipes from. I use All Recipes. You might want to check out Food Network or Delish.

Dining at a new restaurant or cafe

Nowadays with Yelp, you can find a new restaurant or cafe you’ve never been to by just searching up your favorite foods. It’s nice to treat yourself to something new once in a while, even if you’re on a budget. There are ways to make it affordable. Or, just go for dessert.

Some people have second thoughts about dining alone. But, the experience can be enhanced by increasing your awareness and focusing on the ambience of the atmosphere and the flavors of the food. Added bonus: you don’t have to worry about eating sloppily in front of a guest.

Drink a warm cup of tea, hot cocoa, or coffee

Use your favorite mug and prepare your favorite tea, hot chocolate, or coffee. Or, consider trying a new flavor for a change. Feel the warmth of the contents with your fingers (carefully of course!). Engage your senses, taking in the aroma and sweet flavors.

Dance or listen to music

Music is therapeutic. Dancing is a fun way to exercise the body and enjoy music. You can also just nod your head along to a song and sing to it. Or, just listen and take in the lyrics. Self-reflect. Make sure that the song is loving or positive. Good vibes go a long way.


There are many classes that you can take to exercise: dance, zumba, yoga, pilates, boxing, jiu jitsu, karate, and more. Alternatively, you can hit the gym. Health is wealth after all, and what better way to love your body than to give it a good physical workout to maintain all its life functions?

Go for a walk

Maybe exercise isn’t your cup of tea. Perhaps going for a walk will be a soothing activity for you. You can travel somewhere new, or go for a stroll in the neighborhood. Take in all the sights and sounds. Wander in your thoughts and self explore.


Why not go for a massage? Even self-massages can be soothing. It’s a good way to get your blood circulating and flowing in a good way. And obviously, it’s a good way to relax.


Meditation comes in a variety of ways. There are the guided meditations. You can find many of these on websites like YouTube. You can also meditate by simply closing your eyes in a relaxed position, perhaps sitting or lying in your bed. There are other ways to meditate too.

Reading a good book

There are so many books out there that you can purchase from a bookstore, Amazon, or a thrift store. You can even borrow a book from a local library or from a cafe that has books lying around. Reading a book is a gateway to new worlds and self-exploration. It is a way to gain knowledge and put ideas into new perspectives. What better way to love yourself than to learn something new?


With a whole world at your leisure to explore, why not travel and go sight-seeing? It could be anywhere from taking a walk in a new neighborhood to exploring The Alps. Clear your head and engage your senses. Take pictures along the way and collect fun memories.

You don’t have to go with someone else to enjoy the journey too. You can go solo and enjoy the visual experience. Or, perhaps you’ll meet a new friend along the way. Either way, it’s a good way to treat yourself.


Feeling a little down or tired? Hit the snooze button and snuggle up to your warm blankets. Feel the smooth or fuzzy sensations of your blankets. Dream on. Enjoy that extra rest. You deserve it.

Snuggling with a pet or stuffed animal

If you’re flying solo, you might want to snuggle with a pet or with a stuffed animal. Research has shown that petting a cat leads to lower resting heart rates. It can ease your nerves and help calm you down.

A stuffed animal can do the job well too. Stuffed animals come in different sizes and shapes. You can buy them from a local toy store or Walmart. Here is one you can buy from Amazon.

Remember to practice self-love on a daily basis. My favorite ways of self-love from the list are getting a massage, exercising, blogging, and dancing to music. But, I make sure you incorporate different ways of loving myself every day. I hope that you do the same as well.
